Martha Stewart Talks Prison Stay, Slams Rachael Ray

Martha Stewart is looking back at her stay in jail and the amount of money she missed out on. In her latest interview Nightline, Martha puts a figure to the amount of money she lost while in prison, revealing she would have made more than $1 Billion dollars if she was not caught lying to authorities back in 2004. It might be safe to sayMartha’s numbers are a bit skewed. She was locked up for 5 months, so suggesting she would make such an amount might be a bit over the top.

Martha also talks about Rachael Ray. “Well, to me, she professed that she could – cannot bake,” Stewart, 68, says. “She … just did a new cookbook which is just a re-edit of a lot of her old recipes … and that’s not good enough for me. I mean, I really want to write a book that is a unique and lasting thing. Something that will really fulfill a need in someone’s library.”

So far, no response from Rachael on Martha’s thoughts on her. Perhaps this is Martha’s way of showing the much younger Rachael Ray that thought they might be in the House-Maker Industry, it is still a cut throat business and she is not bowing out anytime soon.
