In 1776 when this great country we live in began its infancy, Blacks and Women didn’t have the rights or civil liberty that they share today. It is safe to say this country was made specifically for white men.
Over the years and decades, with numerous great men and women that fought for equality, life for women and black people in America got significantly better. In 2009 we saw something America had never seen before.
An unknown Black Man (Barack Hussein Obama) and a woman (Hillary Rodham Clinton) fighting for the democratic right to be named President. In the end it came down to Obama and John McCain. No matter who won history would have been made, because McCain’s vice president was a woman (Sarah Palin).
History was made in-deed, as America elected their first African American President. Obama moved people with his speeches, from Europe to Africa and cities all across America. One of his best quotes was at his inaugural speech, were he spoke directly to other countries, ” your people will judge you on what you build, and not what you blow up.”
Below is the video of Barack Obama being pronounced President of the United States of America.
