In the July issue of Elle, R&B sensation Rihanna graces the cover, and she also dished to the celeb magazine about her new beau, her old beau and fashion.

On the album art for Rated R: “I wanted pictures that represented strength and fearlessness but still femininity—a strong woman who can be vulnerable. Every woman is made up of vulnerability and strength; no matter what race you are, no matter what you’ve been through in your life. Every woman has that strength that is undeniable, but we also have really big hearts. It’s just us.”

On turning her dream of popstardom into reality: “If I were in Barbados still, I would be dreaming about this. I asked for it, and I love it, so why am I complaining? My first day on tour, I remember saying ‘I’m so tired—this is so much.’ Then I thought, What the fuck? You asked for this—you prayed to God to tour like Madonna.”

On her new beau: “I have a boyfriend. I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.”

On designers she admires: “It’s clear there are definitely fewer black women in the high-fashion industry. One of the things I respected most about Gucci was that they did a print campaign with me. I’m a black girl on a fashion spread for Gucci—that was a big deal. I respect designers who aren’t afraid to go outside the box. I went to a Jean Paul Gaultier show, and I saw girls who are thicker than me, beautiful and voluptuous and different ethnicities. That made me so excited. I thought, Okay, I can work that, for sure.”

On the past year: “A year ago, I was very confused. Because he was my best friend. All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives—not only our friendship, but our lives. I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore. I wanted to be with him again or get over him—it was either-or. I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion.”

It has been confirmed that Rihanna will be taking her new album, “Rated R”, on tour this summer. Leading a “Last Girl On Earth” North American tour that will also include another diva burning up the charts: Ke$ha!

The women, along with rapper Nicki Minaj, will start the tour in Seattle on July 2, make 25 stops altogether, and conclude on August 25 in Chicago.

This has been another interesting week. We found out a few revealing details about a few celebrities. We found out John Mayer loved having sex with Jessica Simpson, to him her sex was like being addicted to drugs. We also found out John had a N*gger pass, or maybe he didn’t and his penis is a racist and that’s why he doesn’t have sex with black women. Heidi Montag wants to shoot another Playboy Pictorial to show her new breasts and Jennifer Garner made a Dolphin have an orgasm, I am not sure how Ben Afflect felt about that.

That didn’t last long.  It seems peer pressure or maybe family has made Rihanna change her mind about her new lover, baseball player Matt Kemp.  After the New Year’s the two were in-separable, photographed kissing on a boat, the balcony of their room and everywhere possible.

The news report that followed Matt Kemp as of late has not been a positive one.  His ex girlfriend took a restraining order out on him while they were still dating because she said she was scared for her life. Matt Kemp and his people have tried to down play the restraining order, but pleaded guilty to assault charges and for someone in Rihanna’s position that was a chance she couldn’t take again.

While she was on a radio interview she revealed, “I’m still single if that’s what you really want to ask,” but then she also added she was going to the Grammy’s alone saying, “I always have [gone alone] even if when I was in a relationship.”

With the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Kate Hudson, we can now add Rihanna to the list of women who like to date bad guys.  The only difference is Rihanna’s men are use to getting violent.

In June 2008, actress Felisha Terrell filed a restraining order against the 6′4″, 220-lb. ballplayer — whom she had been living with — accusing him of threatening, intimidating and stalking her. In the papers, the one-time Days of Our Lives star states: “He is violent and I am afraid.”

Now Rihanna’s friends are unsure about Matt Kemp, “You’d think after what she went through with Chris, RiRi would be extra careful about learning the background of any man she gets close to,” one of them tells Star. “It’s almost as if she has a dark side of her own — an attraction to bad boys.”

This time last year, Rihanna and Chris Brown were a young hot couple.  That was until Chris Brown lost his mind and physically abused Rihanna.  Ever since that episode, numerous young up and coming men have been linked to the Disturbia Starlet.  Now Hollywoodlife.com is reporting that Rihanna has found a new man.

Matt Kemp, who plays outfield for the LA Dodgers, was seen in Dubai, where Rihanna was performing at on New Years Eve.  A source told Hollywoodlife that he followed her to Dubai and things are heating up between Rihanna and Matt.

The insider also reveals to Hollywoodlife adding, “Rihanna likes him because he’s such a gentleman…and super sexy!”

Pop star Rihanna continues to open up about her abusive relationship with R & B Singer Chris Brown. Gracing the January cover of GQ magazine, she reveals she is slowly moving past the ugly incident.

“It’s relieving,” the singer, 21, says in the January issue of GQ. “Because it was built up for so long, and all these thoughts and emotions have been running through my mind for the past eight months. And now it’s like I finally get to let go and move on.” Although she says she doesn’t like “talking about it” a lot, “every time I do, it’s better; it’s easier each time.”

Rihanna reveals she finally decided to speak out about the incident because “I wanted to move on. And I knew that was the only way I could have done it. And I wanted people to move on with me. ‘Cause the last big thing they know about me is That Night. And I don’t want that to be what people define me as.”

According to the pop star, returning to the studio was therapeutic for her. Looking back, Rihanna says the biggest lesson she learned is that “love is blind.”

“It took a lot of strength to pull out of that relationship,” she says. “To finally just officially cut it off. It was like night and day. It was two different worlds. It was the world I lived for two years, and then having the strength to say, ‘I’m gonna step into my own world. Start over.’”

And her message to other women in abusive relationships? “Stop blaming yourself for that outcome,” she says. “There’s nothing you can do, ever, to excuse a man’s behavior like that.”

Despite their troubled past, Rihanna still has moments of missing her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. “There are a lot of … places that we’ve been to together, music, different things that come up that are reminders of your ex,” the singer, 21, tells the Atlanta radio station Q100. “When [his music] comes on the radio, I don’t … turn it off. I like his music.”

She adds: “I’ve gotten over it, but there are definitely constant reminders … songs that were our favorite songs, or hit songs.”

Lately she has been rumored to dating another clean cut Artist that shares a resemblance to Chris Brown, but Rihanna’s response was, “He came by, brought his friends, and everyone was hanging out, but I don’t even have his number. So I don’t know how I could be dating him.”

Now Rihanna does admit, “I’m a very flirty girl, though.” But right now she is more involved in her music than finding another relationship.
